Hi friends π
Yesterday, I was a guest on a podcast and one question really made me stop and think:
π βIs SEO dead?β
Hereβs my take:
No β SEO isnβt dead.
But it is shifting.
Mainly in two ways:
1οΈβ£ Google isnβt the only place people search anymore. People now go to other platforms too. Like TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit to find answers, ideas, and recommendations.
2οΈβ£ Searches are getting longer and more specific. Instead of typing βemail marketing,β people search VERY specific questions like βhow to write a welcome email for a handmade jewelry storeβ.
How to optimize your content for the new search era
With people searching in more places and asking more specific questions, your goal is to make your content:
Findable across multiple channels. Repurpose your core ideas into platform-specific formats for TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and anywhere else your audience looks.
The βgo-toβ answer for niche questions. Solve specific problems in detail so people find value in your content β and AI is more likely to cite it.
Structured. Formulate your content in a way that answers your audienceβs exact questions.
Built on your unique perspective. Share your own data, case studies, and personal insights β the things AI canβt replicate, but would cite in its outputs.
This βsearch everywhereβ approach is now my top tip for businesses doing content marketing. It increases your chances of discovery and makes your brand easy to remember.
