Hi my friend!
This week, I posted my first sponsored UGC video for a marketing AI tool š¤©
(If youāve read my email last week, you know I was working on it and was a bit nervous, but it all went great!)
It was a fun little project, and the topic I chose was around keeping large content libraries up to date. You can watch the video here:
And while I was working on it, I got curious about how other SaaS marketers actually approach content updates.
Because once you have hundreds of articles, keeping all of them accurate sounds like a nightmare.
Features, pricing, integrations, and product messaging change all the time. And you have to keep your content up to date to stay relevant for readers, rank in traditional search, and get cited in AI search.
So I asked content marketers on Reddit how they do it.
And Iām getting so many interesting responses!
One person said they built an internal tool that checks their docs and blog every week and flags pages mentioning old feature names.
A few others said they tag pages based on what could make them outdated things like pricing, features, integrations, or competitors. So when something changes, they know exactly which content needs to be reviewed.
There are a bunch of other approaches too.
So now Iām thinking Iāll let the thread run for a little longer, then wrap up the responses and share them with you.
Iām so excited to do that!
This week and next, Iām also working on some exciting articles about LLM SEO and how to track ChatGPT prompts, so Iāll have plenty more to share soon. The brand Iām working with has also done some really useful research around these topics, which I canāt wait to dig into and share with you.
Also, I have an open spot for one more writing or editing client in Q4.
So if youāre looking for a senior freelance writer, or know someone who is, let me know! š
See you next week!
Kate
