Next week, I'm heading to Germany for JoyConf by Storyblok! 🇩🇪
I'm excited about the conference, but honestly, I'm just as excited about meeting people there.
One thing I really enjoy about conferences and industry events is getting to talk to people outside my usual circle.
As a freelance content writer, I spend a lot of time working independently. And while I follow what's happening in the industry, read research, and keep up with discussions online, it's not quite the same as talking to people in person.
I love hearing what others are working on, what challenges they're facing, and how they approach things differently.
I also think these conversations are especially valuable when you work in B2B content marketing.
We spend so much time trying to understand our audiences through keyword research, analytics, and industry reports.
But sometimes, a simple conversation can teach you more about someone's challenges than hours of research.
You might hear about a problem you hadn't considered, discover a different way of doing something, or simply get a fresh perspective on a topic you thought you knew well.
And that's something I want to do more of.
Of course, I don't think every conversation needs to have a business purpose. I just enjoy meeting interesting people, exchanging ideas, and making new connections.
So, I'm looking forward to a few days of learning, meeting people, and hopefully coming home with some fresh ideas!
