Hi friends 👋

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably heard me say this before:

The content that performs best is the content that answers real questions.

And that is one of the best ways to increase your chances of appearing in AI search results.

Because AI tools look for clear, direct answers to real intent and cite the most helpful resource on the question users ask.

And so the absolute best place to find those questions are hidden in your client calls. Or customer support calls. Discovery calls, sales calls, conversations with potential clients. Whatever you want to call it.

Those are the places where people explain their problems in their own words (the same lingo they use when talking to AI tools). They ask the exact questions they’re struggling with, and show you what they actually care about.

So, today, I want to share the workflow I’ve been using myself, and been sharing with clients recently. And everyone I shared it with just loved it because it removes the hardest part, which is, coming up with content ideas.

My workflow is simple:

I run Granola on every call I jump on.

But instead of going through notes manually, I created a custom “recipe” inside Granola that turns each call into content ideas automatically.

How it works:

  1. Run Granola during your calls (online or in-person)

  2. Let it capture the conversation

  3. Open your call note afterward

  4. In the chat, select your recipe

And it instantly gives you:

  • questions your client asked

  • content ideas based on those questions

  • angles you can turn into posts, videos, or articles

This way, you don’t have to reread everything or try to remember what was said.

This is what my recipe looks like:

If you want to try it, I’ve made it public so you can use my Granola recipe: Client Calls → Content.

(If, for some reason, it doesn’t work through the link, let me know and I’ll send you the prompt so you can create your own.)

And if you want to test this workflow yourself:

This is not the only way I use Granola though and I’ll make a more detailed post about all the ways I use Granola another time.

But there’s another cool way I’ve been using Granola in content lately.

I run it while listening to podcasts or YouTube videos in my space (usually while cooking).

Cool, right?! But hear me out.

Instead of just consuming the content and forgetting it later (which happens a lot, especially when you’re multitasking and can’t take notes immediately),

Granola captures the content and gives you key points. Later, I usually chat with Granola notes to find

  • ideas worth exploring

  • angles I can create content on

  • or just ideas I want to take action on

So instead of passive consumption, it becomes part of your content workflow.

Okay, these are the two of the simplest ways I’ve found to make your content instantly more relevant, create content that performs well, and optimize your content for AI search.

All because you’re answering real questions and creating content that’s proven to be relevant and working for your audience.

I’m curious, have you ever used your calls for content before? LMK

Enjoy your Granola and see you next week,

Kate 🌟
